Renowned Amsterdam label takes 10th anniversary abroad

Traveling with Intacto Records

Intacto Records is celebrating its 10th anniversary! Quite an achievement in these days of fleeting hits and shortly lived imprints, the platform created in 2004 by Amsterdam DJs

Shinedoe and 2000 and One still thrives on innovative and indestructible club music. And as the saying goes, this calls for a celebration! So, Intacto Records is going on the road. Starting
September the first dates abroad are scheduled, a label compilation album is also in the pipeline.

By all means, this is how you celebrate the tenth year of such a renowned techno label.

Surely Intacto is known for more than just techno music. As said, in 2004 it was launched as a platform for the by then strongly emerging Amsterdam scene. Producers and DJs like Anton Pieete,

Lauhaus and Julien Chaptal made name here while releases by international acclaimed artists like Reset Robot, Nicole Moudaber, D’Julz and Wehbba also made some serious waves.

Intacto’s defining sound included many styles. Of course Chicago house and Detroit techno were one of the key elements here, but with minimal coming up again ten years ago Intacto Records became one of the labels that shaped this fresh new sound. A fine example for this is Phunk, a release by label boss

Shinedoe that became a major hit record for the label. It went global, especially when heavyweights Ricardo Villalobos and Mark Broom produced their own remixes of the track. Phunk was even licensed by Size, the imprint run by Steve Angello (Swedish House Mafia), surely you’re breaking some barriers by then.

Through the years Intacto became a household name. Its releases were played by artists like Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Carl Cox and Joris Voorn, while countless radiostations continued to pick up every new release that came out. Aforementioned hit Phunk even caught the attention of sports brand Nike, that including the track and producer Shinedoe in a campaign/documentary about their Air Max 90 shoe. Besides this there were the Intacto On Stage-nights, a series of events that invariably brought together the best of the imprints artists and audience.

10 Years Intacto Records

Nuff said, reason enough to celebrate Intacto Records’ tenth anniversary extensively. The label will be doing this with a tour featuring several of its artists. The second half of 2014 will be all about this special birthday, with the first dates already scheduled: end of July will see a special event in Berlin, followed in September by the official kick-off with events in Frankfurt and Munich, in December Intacto will also be present at festival Rave On Snow in Austria.

More tour dates will be announced soon as well as information on the upcoming Intacto Records 10th
